In this course we will explore the history of the sandwich and test different cheese toasts and cheese sandwiches. How can a simple dish of bread and cheese provide insights into Western cultural history and why is the meal between two slices of bread still so popular? Margaretha Jüngling shows how to make a vegan wheat sourdough toast. While the bread rises, we try various cheese toasts (also vegan), which we enjoy together.
