Feeding Fields, Moving Meadows

An experimental breakfast buffet: artist Suzanne Bernhardt and designer Philipp Kolmann use the example of alpine sweet grasses to prove that a lot can also be created from seemingly barren soil.

At the heart of this is the holistic processing of regional foods, based on ancient knowledge, from which an unprecedented variety of smells and tastes emerges. The basis of our diet is sweet grasses. All grain foods as well as all dairy products come from them - even the meat.

After the Food Culture Days in Vevey in spring 2023, they will now present these as part of an experimental all-inclusive breakfast buffet at Quartierhof Wynegg. The brunch starts at 9 am from Quartierhof Wynegg with a walk through Zurich's grassy meadows and leads back to the breakfast buffet in the Quartierhof at 9:45 am.

The menu: Forest tonic, sterz, oat drink, root brew, cultured butter, sweet whipped butter, rotten bread, forgotten fruit salsiz, popsicle.

Artist Suzanne Bernhardt and designer Philipp Kolmann work in international networks and live in Amsterdam.
They developed the Feeding Fields, Moving Meadows project especially for the Mühlerama museum and the foodculturedays in Vevey.
