In the framework of the exhibition COPAIN - pictures on slices of bread
In the course with the cook and artist Margaretha Jüngling, the slice of bread becomes a canvas. We will be inspired by Marie Sophie Hingst and her "Art History as a Bread Topping".
We transform our favorite images as a topping for bread. The knife replaces the brush. It is lubricated, cut and topped. Vegetables, fruits, nuts and much more serve as material for colors and shapes.
Before we devour the picture sandwiches, we marvel at the works together: What does the picture promise to the palate? Does it deliver on the promise in the mouth? We talk about appearance and taste and how the two are connected.
Bring a picture of a piece of art to class that you would like to implement as a bread topping.
