Korea cuisine - Mandu Workshop

with chef and author Ae Jin Huys

Almost every country has its own version of dumplings. In Korea, they are called mandu, and depending on how they are prepared, they are further divided into "gun mandu" (fried or grilled), "mulmandu" (boiled), "twigim mandu" (deep-fried), "jjin mandu" (steamed) and "kullim mandu" (without batter). And then there are the varieties with different fillings such as "kimchi mandu" (with kimchi), "gogi mandu" (with meat), "yachae mandu" (with vegetables), "saeu mandu" (with prawns) etc. They can be served as a starter, side dish, snack or as a hearty meal in the form of a soup.
In the workshop, chef and author Ae Jin Huys will not only show you how to prepare and artfully fold the dough from scratch, but also how to create authentic Korean flavors using vegetarian regional and seasonal ingredients.
This course iand will be held in English with course materials and recipes in German and English. Please indicate vegetarians under "Comments".
