As part of ArteSOAZZA in the southern Graubünden valley of Misox, Magnus Zwyssig, sourdough specialist and course leader at the Mühlerama Museum, will be demonstrating how to bake sourdough bread in a wood-fired oven. Art educator Lisa Gianotti will also be explaining the artistic interventions in the exhibition.
The art event can easily be reached in one day from Zurich or combined with an overnight stay in the region.
The Graubünden village of Soazza has a functioning bakery. Together with the art event ArteSOAZZA, we are organizing two exclusive baking courses:
Baking at a falling temperature in a wood-fired oven is fun because you not only feel the liveliness of sourdough, but also the unbridled energy of the oven.
In addition to various types of bread made from mountain grain, we also bake our lunch. We take advantage of the resting time with art historian Lisa Gianotti, who takes us on a tour of the village and provides background information on the artistic interventions. Tired and laden with loaves of bread, we board the Postbus at 6 pm and arrive back in the "Unterland" at 9 pm.
Workshop with guided tour of the ArteSOAZZA exhibition, lunch, materials and course documentation.
Arrival and departure must be organized by yourself.
