About the Mühlerama

The heart of the museum is the industrial mill from 1913, which was converted into a museum in 1986. During opening hours, the mill is put into operation and explained by a miller. Thus, the mill still produces several tons of flour annually. In a permanent exhibition, the cultural history of milling, the Mühle Tiefenbrunnen and the Wehrli miller family is presented to the public in a vivid and interactive way.

At the pulse of time, special exhibitions on current topics of nutrition, health and sustainability are shown annually.

The museum's offerings are complemented by a rich array of workshops and guided tours for children and adults. Bread baking classes, tours of the historic mill and the special exhibitions are particularly popular.

Over the years, Mühlerama has earned an excellent reputation as a lively, eventful and sensory museum.
