The Mystery of Tiefenbrunnen Mill

Flour keeps disappearing from the mill and nobody knows why. Who can solve The Mystery of Tiefenbrunnen Mill? 60'

The Factory

All those plates of food passing by on a conveyor belt... See anything you fancy? If so, press the STOP button and find out more about the pleasures of the palate, a healthy diet, and responsible food production.

Model Mills

These four models demonstrate how the mill actually works. Take a look. Try them out. Got it? The model-mills are currently not on display.

The Mill in Action

The bell that rings every day at 3 pm is a signal that the industrial mill of 1913 is about to grind into action once again. Our miller can show you the mill in action and explain how flour is produced.

The Workshop

This is where it gets hands-on, because here, you can grind your own flour out of wheat grains. You even have different mills to choose from, including a Neolithic grinding stone! Once you're done, you can take your flour home with you or use it to bake a bread roll in the Bakery.

The Slide

You don't even have to climb down again: Because the wooden slide originally intended for heavy sacks of flour now serves a very different purpose: to take tired museum visitors back to ground level!
